  • ”I have never worked with someone more creative, energetic, committed or kind than Howard…The business model he employs is unique and adaptable as he is, and his network of professional contacts is unparalleled and one of his most valuable assets. If he can’t complete the task alone he knows exactly who to call. I look forward to a long relationship working with Howard”

  • ”"Working at the Lightning Group was a great experience. I was able to learn a lot about what it takes to secure sponsorship, how to successfully plan a large Festival, and how to effectively multi-task. In the first month working at the Lightning Group, the main focus was sponsorship. Interns had to send numerous blasts of emails to companies trying to pitch them to sponsor Taste of the Danforth. This took a lot of persistence and goal-setting. Cold-calling was also an integral part of the process, which put me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to think on the spot. After sponsorship, interns had to work on multiple tasks at once, including planning activations for 20th Century Fox movies, planning the Celebrity Stage, making budgets, and more. After this experience, I see the importance in working as a team to meet goals, as well as working through all challenges together. I'd like to thank Howard and Lori for all their help and the mentorship I have received as a result." ”

  • ”I always remind myself of my time at The Lightning Group, owning Music on the Danforth and planning and executing activations & Guinness World Records, coordinating sponsorships, creating photobooks and more for the Taste of the Danforth. It is these experiences that provided me with the tools I need to excel in my career!”

  • ”I wanted to thank you for giving me an opportunity to work on Taste of the Danforth. It was a phenomenal learning experience given the Festival learnings and all the lessons you gave us along the way. Moreover, just working along with other interns from diverse backgrounds gave me valuable insights into the Canadian culture and bolstered my interpersonal skills. Besides a good work experience I made some meaningful connections as well and thanks for all this. Looking forward to working with you again. ”
